A Leaf’s Story

What is truth, to whom is it told
Once it is said the truth grows old
What once did no longer applies
So change we must if truth survives

What say the leaf as it does fall
Reaching the ground with gravity’s call
Do leaves complain of changing seasons
Leaves know that right need no reasons

What is this happiness that we so seek
A product of our own mystique
From what were taught, from what we ponder
Choices are made of values honored

So listen closely to your storied voices
They know the nature of your value choices
Leaves act freely to release their leaves
Acts from the heart result in seeds
